Bidrage med feedbackMet friends here for dinner on a Saturday evening. We arrived on-time for our 6:30pm appointment. We waited an additional 20 minutes prior to being seated. Once seated, our server, Bailey, was on top of things. Never had to wait for a refill and she regularly checked in with us. We placed our orders and the salads came out quickly. The salad was very good. The main course took a while to come out of the kitchen but management came to the table to apologize. Once the main finally arrived, it didn't disappoint. I ordered the prime rib and it was good. The potato was good as well. Overall, good experience and good value for the price. I'll be a return customer.
Work group reservations wasn't ready. Waited over half and hour to get seated only too find they crammed the chairs next to each other. More waiting and got reseated to better accomodations. Service was slower than normal but to be expected considering it holiday season. They food on the other was good, steak cooked properly, as ordered. All in all... I have have better food and service at less expensive establishments.
First time here and we loved it. We started with the bacon deviled eggs. They were pricey, but delicious! I had the chicken tender salad my mom had the sirloin with a baked potato. The honey mustard salad dressing was the best I've ever tasted. Everything was really good. The restaurant seating was spaced well and I loved the ambiance. The service was excellent as well. My only complaint would be, I did notice a lot of dust on the ceiling fan in the bathroom, as well as a small hole in the ceiling, right above the toilet. I admit I'm a little paranoid, so when I see holes in a bathroom wall, I get really uncomfortable. It would be nice if they patched that. Other than that, it was a great experience and we will definitely go back. Update: We went back again this past Saturday for my Mom's birthday I was really disappointed. We tried to get there before 4pm, so it wouldn't be as expensive to avoid the dinner rush, but ended up waiting for a booth, so it was after 4pm by the time we were seated. They weren't slammed, but it wasn't as empty as the last time we were there either. The service was extremely slow. I also found out the hard way, that they have different cooks that prepare items differently. The honey mustard dressing I raved about in my first review, was ruined by cayenne pepper. I couldn't even eat all my salad, it was so bad. Then, when our steaks arrived (which we ordered medium well), they were very charred on the outside and looked burnt. Not wanting to wait any longer, we ate them anyway. They still tasted good, just a little too well done on the outside. It will probably be a while before we go back again, but I will give them another try. 5/2/21 We gave them another try today, and I think we ended up with the same waiter. I don't know if he just doesn't like his job, or if it was us he didn't like, but I felt like he was intentionally giving us slow service. Then when we got our leftovers to go, he gave me blue cheese dressing instead of honey mustard, which was originally what the chicken salad came with. We tipped him well anyway, but I don't think we'll be back to this location.
I don’t live in Tennessee but every time I go through I always stop at The Chop House, because I have always loved the food and service has always been great. However on 03/28/2022 at approximately 15:20, I had the biggest disappointment. I know that masks are no longer required but I have always believed, that in restaurants they should still be used by the employees and especially with employees who work with food. Sonja, the waitress, first took quite a while to get to my table, when she finally came, she stood about 4 inches away from us and would not respect distance as she was talking straight into our face. I saw how spit was flying out of her mouth as she kept talking and talking. She got spit all over our faces and my very expensive clothes, which now I’ve had to had dry cleaned. When we saw this and that she would not stand farther away from us we decided to order to go and wait there. The food took a while to arrive. When it finally did, she took it all out to show us and kept talking over the food getting spit all over it. When I receive great service I always like to leave a 75% or more tip. However to horrible service and bad hygiene I do not tip because I do not reward that type of service. When I paid and she saw that she didn’t get anything she had the ugliest reaction and completely ignored me and stormed off when I asked her for plastic silverware, that I had to ask someone else to get me. (In the whole restaurant only one person was wearing a mask and it was a African American gentleman working the grill, I think the restaurant should congratulate him and show him as an example to his fellow coworkers that in a restaurant hygiene is the most important thing.
I have been a loyal customer to Chop House for over 15 years. It is a shame that I have to leave this review. I take it very seriously to leave a bad review but after calling management multiple times and same issues happen it affects anyone with gluten allergies/celiac this is important. I called and complained prob 5 times in 2 years about issues with glutened items in the to go meals that I ordered off the gluten free menu. I would call and let them know and wouldn 't ask for a refund or anything. I felt bad because it damages the business and not the person messing up. Well, in the last few months it has gotten worse. I spoke to a very nice man about a month ago after my husband picked up a to go meal (mind you we always tip as well) and the gluten free petite pork chops were missing apples and believe me when there is no seasoning a gluten free person has to have the apples to eat plain pork. He was super nice mailed a gift card. I did not want the gift card but appreciated the gesture. *Mind you, I have not used the gift card. I called in a to go meal tonight. Placed an order for one cheeseburger meal, one blue cheesburger meal, and one gluten free petite pork chops with sweet potato fries and house salad. I ordered off the Chop House gluten free menu, as usual. My husband picks up the order, pays for it and tips, as usual, as the lady reassured him the order was gluten free. Look at the photos. There is fried breading on the pork chops, under the pork chops, on the fries, in the fries, and there is even a few pieces of lettuce on the food. It was also soaking wet under neath the pork chops. I have seen enough fried chicken tenders over the years ordering kids meals to know this was fried chicken tenders breading ALL in this gluten free petite pork chops box. I called and spoke to the lady manager at 6:08pm tonight. I explained to her how dangerous this was and I would be hospitalized for days if I had consumed this. I explained the seriousness of this. She said she checked the food. She did not check the food at all. So the cooks are clearly putting food in containers and them dumping them (perhaps realizing wrong order) and then placing gluten free foods on top of gluten. What Chop House needs to understand is that anyone who is gluten free and consumes this would end up being deathly sick and it would cost Chop House a lot to file an insurance claim to cover the medical expenses of this. Please please get rid of your gluten free menu if you are not going to take it seriously and properly train cooks and managers. I am saddened how careless and negligent Chop House has become. I use to love treating employees there and I will never feel safe doing so again. For anyone who eats regular enjoy Chop House. Anyone with celiac or gluten free lifestyle needs to choose another establishment to support.
