Bidrage med feedbackToday is the third time we've been to this amazing place.....and we're from Alberta! The first time was last fall when we stopped in Keremeos on our way from Osoyoos and saw the sign. Wrong Turn Tavern. Could not pass this up and am glad we didn't. We walked into a quirky, funky, cool bar with huge spider webs hanging from the ceiling. Don't panic, it was around Halloween. Lol The atmosphere was inviting and we were hooked! That time there was a different menu. I had nachos with tons of gooey cheese (yum) and my gf had a burrito the size of my arm! We both had the French onion soup that was to die for! Our server, Chelsea, was attentive, friendly and offered suggestions on her favorite dishes. We loved the place, the food and the staff and vowed to come back. Fast forward to April 22/16.... We were leaving Surrey heading east so got our opportunity to visit, FINALLY. The place was comfortably familiar; even Chelsea was on duty again. This time it was Friday so it was much busier but service was still super. There is a new chef and a revised menu so wondered if it would be as good as we remembered. I had the Keremeos Special burger loaded with bacon mushrooms and Swiss with fries. Wonderful! My gf had the Chicken Caesar wrap with homemade dressing and loved it! The owner, Liza, was very friendly and let us know where there was a place for us to park our trailer for the night, free. Today we have one more opportunity to try more of the great food before we leave. My Not Your Kids Grilled Cheese sandwich was delish and the gf really enjoyed her Buffalo Chicken sandwich! As luck would have it the soup of the day was our fave, French Onion! Different chef , different recipe.....same wonderfulness. I went crazy and had the Neapolitan ice cream pie. Fresh frozen strawberries and smooth chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Of course it was yummy. Our server, Kirsty, was a dream with her food suggestions and her great personality. All in all this a great place to visit, eat and meet great people. Don't miss out when going near Keremeos or you'll regret it. Really.
Love Everything about the place is a win win. Good food, straight-up service, history live music. My fella I were headed home to the West Koots after a coast trip were so enamoured by our afternoon pop in, that we got a room down the street, strolled to the Wrong Turn, ate a delicious dinner danced the evening away with the awesome local folks. Great place, keep up the good work Liza crew :
Amazing food the best in keremeos in my opinion, wonderful service it's like eating in my own home : so comfortable and if I could afford it I would eat there everyday for every meal hehe but ofcourse of the entire menu my favourite as always the spinach artichoke dip ; best in the world!!!
Beautiful room...great menu...absolutely stunning owner. If I lived in Caramelameos I might be found more than regularly haunting the bar stool there.
Stopped there on our way to Nelson. Service was very friendly and accommodating. They made me a chocolate martini. I had the whiskey chicken which was fantastik. My BF had the Philly Cheese steak. It was made with actual roast beef. Highly recommend and would go back next time we are going through.
