Stopped in Saturday's Barbecue on a Saturday morning to grab a sandwich. I wanted to get a Burnt Ends sandwich but was told there were no burnt ends available. I went with the Brisket sandwich with regular BBQ sauce to go. I chatted with Eli for a bit and he seems like a real good dude and states he has been at this location for 3 years. Eli states during the spring/summer he will have sides available but not during the winter months. I asked about some spicy BBQ sauce and he states he didn't have any at the moment. I noticed from other reviews there is a hot BBQ sauce made from peppers grown on the property, and hope I can try some of that when they become available. The portion of Brisket on my Brisket sandwich was hefty! I tried it without BBQ sauce before adding the BBQ sauce. I found the meat to be flavorful and was mixed with juicy, dry and fatty pieces. The price of the Brisket sandwich was a bit high at $10 without a side or drink. Overall, Eli's friendly demeanor and passion for BBQ makes this a must visit place! I plan to visit Saturday's Barbecue again when the full menu is available, as I would like to try the coleslaw, burnt ends, and spicy/hot BBQ sauce. Making my way to Kansas City. Stopped in for a Brisket Sandwich and some Coleslaw. Very very very good smoke flavor on the meat! I recommend getting the Hot bbq sauce. He makes it from the peppers he grows out front. Very good punch of heat, but full of flavor also.
OMG, these ribs were the bomb. This place is quite literally a shack on the side of the road. The ribs are fantastic, fall off the bone delicious. George loved then.
