Makani’s Magic Pineapple Shack - Hilo

First of all the staff here are amazing, they had a line out the door and we try to order people as soon as possible. Thanks for that! I highly recommend this place when you are on the island. Go! Dragon fruit with fruity pebbles is my favorite. Mahalo

MUST DO IF YOU ARE IN HILO. Best acai bowl ever and massive portion size. My gf and I couldn’t even finish it and we were sharing. We had the cookie blaster acai bowl and it was delicious. So over the top and so fun. Whether you’re passing through or staying in Hilo definitely take the time to stop here

So fun! The acai bowl and ice cream were delicious. Some of the old reviews and pictures showed small food but they don't have that anymore. Maybe not the best bowl we had on the island but certainly the most fun!

I will admit I was suspicious of unicorn. But whatever they do to create an ube and dragonfruit twist does involve magic. Long line here and hot inside with limited seating. Arrived at the end of the day, we’re closing at 5, line stopped at 445, so we just made it. Cute stop if you’re in Hilo.

Great place to take kids for a unicorn ice cream treat, they also have other vegan soft serve options and novelty acai bowls.
