Bidrage med feedbackDiner food done well. There's not a lot you can say, it's a truck-stop diner, but I say that in the best possible way. This week a client wanted to meet there for lunch and who was I to argue with a client. So we hit up Dan's and both ordered their country fried steak. I ordered mine with mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans, it also came with a side salad.<br/ <br/ The salad was ok, nothing fancy at all a decent food service blue cheese dressing.<br/ <br/ The Country fried steak was good, the white gravy was really good seasoned well and not too much of it, some places drown your food in gravy they didn't. The green beans were good.<br/ <br/ They also serve breakfast all day and the service was pefectly acceptable and they were slammed at 12:30 for lunch.<br/ <br/ Maybe the best overall diner in Hattiesburg.
Well, it's a truck stop, but the meal I had was ok. I had the pork chop blue plate with 2 veg roll. Portions were ample and nicely cooked presented. Waitress was average to slightly above average. No major complaints, just an ok lunch at an ok place . Nothing fancy. Real down home, and the placed was packed at 12:30 on a Friday.
1/2 pound Swiss and Mushroom Burger. This dish came with fries,.. the fries were cooked perfect! Light brown, crunchy on outside soft on inside... The burger was a processed patty and was really the down fall of what could have been a GREAT burger. It was cooked well but not dry, came with Tomato,Lettuce, mayo, grilled onions and pickle.
Old school truck stop Old school Restaurant food is off the hook. Been driving for 41 years this is a blast from the past excellent service excellent food great service price.the flavors are phenomenal. Definitely a must. If you leave hungry it's your fault.
Decent place to stop. Facilities including restrooms were reasonably clean. The diner looked good but I did not try it this time.
