Thai Silk - Hastings

The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. I stumbled upon this restaurant while in town for business and will definitely be returning before I leave.

Our group of 9 had a great dining experience at this restaurant. Thank you! I ordered the braised beef soup, which had tender beef and was very tasty. I also tried the duck curry, which was amazing with the perfect amount of spice.

It's time for me to share my thoughts on this restaurant, as my partner and I have been regular customers for several years. While there may have been a change in ownership during this time, the transition has been smooth and we are always greeted warmly by the familiar faces of the friendly staff. We have consistently enjoyed the quality of the menu, which stands out compared to other Thai/Asian restaurants, as well as the timely service of our meals. However, our recent experience with the green curry was disappointing due to undercooked potatoes. We have also experienced delays during peak times like Mothers' Day and Christmas, when the restaurant is busy. This issue is common in many restaurants when faced with a high volume of customers. I recommend avoiding bringing children during these busy periods and not expecting a quick meal before a movie. Visiting on a quieter midweek day will result in a more timely meal service. Overall, I still believe that THAI SILK offers a pleasant dining experience in Hawke's Bay, as long as you are prepared for potential delays during peak times.

Delicious food with a wide selection on the menu great service, minimum wait, nice atmosphere. This is a favourite never been disappointed.

We also dined Mother's Day evening and yes they were extremely busy as you would expect on Mother's Day and if they weren't busy you would wonder why!!! The waitresses were very pleasant and were working very hard to attend all the tables. Yes there was a long wait for meals but as I said they were full. I would suggest a more fast food restaurant for families with children who need to eat fast on these type of special nights. Great restaurant, great staff and AMAZING food would recommend to all.
