Devine Cafe And - Hastings

The presentation and excellent taste of our meals were worth the wait, truly living up to the café's name. Absolutely divine!

This restaurant offers a diverse and unique menu that may overwhelm you with delicious options. We tried the lamb skewers and found them tender and well-seasoned. The Lari chicken sandwich was also tasty, especially with the peri peri sauce for a touch of heat. Both meals were satisfying and I would gladly order them again. The coffees were good, although the flat white could use a bit more flavor. Service was top-notch and the outdoor seating was perfect for enjoying the winter sun. Overall, highly recommended.

A delightful find in Hastings. This cozy old cottage has a clean and tidy interior, as well as a charming verandah with tables outside. The menu is extensive and unpretentious, featuring interesting dishes like beef cheeks that are delicious. The wine selection is adequate, with options by the glass or bottle. The staff is friendly and professional, although they may ask "everything ok?" a bit too frequently. The prices are reasonable compared to the generally expensive dining scene in New Zealand.

Visiting town for the night and they squeezed in our large group last minute with no fuss. Food was absolutely amazing!! The power went out as we were served but the staff didn't bat an eyelid and managed to get the last dish out despite the technical interuption. Dining in the dark even made for an ambient dining experience! Thank you!
