Stopped for coffee sandwich here and very pleased I did. Coffee is first rate and the egg cress sandwich was too; the granary bread used was delicious and very fresh. Nice friendly service as well. Thoroughly recommended, thanks.

The cheese and onion sandwich was overpriced and smothered in mayonnaise. I was hoping for actual slices of cheese and onion. The salad was good, but it came with a large portion of mayonnaise-laden coleslaw.

The staff at this restaurant has a terrible attitude. I didn't enjoy my sandwich because it was overloaded with mayonnaise, so I mentioned it to the staff (even though I was still willing to pay for it in full). Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, I was told to just scrape off the mayonnaise myself. Additionally, their "hot chocolate" tasted like dirty dishwater. When we asked to pay for our meals separately and split the bill, it seemed like we were asking the staff to do the impossible.
