The Crown - Hambleton

I was really looking forward to lunch but was left very disappointed. I went to this restaurant for my birthday and ordered the small beef for Sunday lunch. To my dismay, the portion size was incredibly small - only 2 slices of beef! To make matters worse, I found a hair in my food and had to send it back to be reheated, only for it to come back with another hair in it. For dessert, I tried the Eaton mess, which consisted of just 1 strawberry cut in half at the bottom of the dish with no sauce. What a disaster! I will not be returning to this restaurant and would not recommend it to others.

This is the ultimate village pub. Wonderful food,fantastic staff and a brilliant atmosphere making this our go to pub for a meal out…please try it yourself…you will not be disappointed

Booked table for 5.30pm for 3 adults. Good choice of food. staff very friendly and helpful. Good choice of wine. Will call in if in area again. Good value, good food

We haven’t been here for a while and we were not disappointed. The menu has a lot of choices and there was an extra menu with the specials on. The food was excellent in particularly the home made fries were lovely. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return in the future.

Great home cooked food. Beef fillet strogonoff and Parmo ordered portions are large. Lovely comfortable atmosphere with a roaring fire Very welcoming , polite friendly staff. Will definitely be returning.
