Bidrage med feedbackIt's a little bit small, and I would normally fall a star for it, but I have to give the guys here the full 5 stars for the show with us. We were there in the night before and at the night of the Japan-Irland game in the World Cup, and even for a bigger pub this would have been a lot of people. The staff remained friendly, knew how to do a proper pint of Guinness, and somehow did not run out of beer.
We love to visit this English bar whenever we are in Japan
The best pub for progenitors in Hamamatsu, beautiful Guinness beer, feels like in the UK
Not really sure how to describe this place. It looks like an English pub, but it certainly doesn't feel like one. I've been five or six times always trying to give the place another chance, but it is never a very welcoming atmosphere. A proper English pub is a community gathering place with regulars and a warm atmosphere. This is a pub with all the facade and none of the charm. 1000 yen pints of Guinness... Save yourself the trip.
Just tried to get in here as British expat on a business trip in Hamamatsu. The pub was really full (some Brits, mostly Japanese and the atmosphere seemed good, but I couldn’t get a seat and the staff completely ignored me. I felt a bit awkward waiting, walking around looking for somewhere to sit/stand. Some acknowledgement from the staff (even an いらしゃいませ! and I would have stuck around, though I think this place is best suited for groups. Perhaps on my next trip. Sat night, 8pm. PS. Smoking inside is allowed so it’s very smokey.
