Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant was not busy, but there were limited options for hot food. It took a long time to be served and the prices were higher compared to other restaurants in Gympie. This may deter customers looking for a quick bite to eat.
The last time we visited this restaurant, it was quite different - very busy with a full parking lot, tourist information, a small café shop, and a large service station restaurant with a wide variety of options. There is still a large Puma service station here where travelers can get directions through the beautiful countryside. While the place has declined somewhat, the toilets are still relatively clean and the restaurant is still operational. We encountered friendly staff, enjoyed a fresh muffin and a delicious steak sandwich. The tables could have used a good wiping, but overall, it's a decent place to stop for a break from Brisbane. It is much better than the servo on the highway before reaching Gympie.
This truck stop has the worst food I have ever experienced. Despite years of complaining, there has been no improvement in the quality of food being served. It is clear that the refusal to serve decent food is intentional. The lack of signage also suggests that they do not care whether customers stop or not. The only reason this cafe survives is because Greyhound buses stop there, but I wish they didn't.
