Restaurant Casa cu Pridvor

Given the prestige of their hotel, you would expect something big, but unfortunately this is not the case. The food is not bad, but there is nothing special about it. I found it quite expensive in view of the offer and competition. The situation has potential, but it seems wasted.

We had the ribs and tochitura. Both tasted astonishing and the green beans and potatoes that came with the ribs were more than just secondary dishes, they were delicious. Also the pig in the Tochitura tasted great (like free range) and the cheese was incredible...creamy. Definitely worth the higher price.

Eating tastes good, but the portions are small. Serving is bad, especially when it is overcrowded. They forgot to bring us some of the soup and for all the water we ordered, they didn't deliver glasses. We had to ask for them. Also in the search for a table for us was a challenge. The waiters didn't know how to help us, so we had to improvise a bigger table. View is beautiful, right to the street.

Instead of one bottle of oil and one of vinegar I got 2 of oil, so there was no chance to season The salads. Further more, no perssonel to ask for vinegar. That was on The down side. On The upside The food has a...nice taste, pleasant presentation. Do try The pork ribs!

We were accomodated in Best Western Bucovina and the restaurant was downstairs, very convenient. Thats Why we went searching for other places to serve food. We were disapointed.... on the return at the hotel, we had to eat so... there was Casa cu Pridvor. The...menu is so variated! And everything you order is fantastic! We tried the Ribs 3 times! Beef burger 3 times! But also avocado salad, Salmon, Carbonara, Polenta with cream and cheese, pizza, Sarmale, ..... best taste!!!! We love it! Seriously, comparing with other places that we tried, this is the best restaurant in Gura Humorului! I am sorry for not adding pictures, but we were so busy eating that nobody thought to make some with the food. Also the restaurant staff is very kind and helpful. Very nice people. We will definately return here!
