Hillpoint - Gulmarg

Average food, but service was good enough. The crew was polite but the taste was not so wholesome. Was there with family

I have been consistently disappointed with the french fries served in Kashmir, even in hotels. I have struggled to find a decent plate of fries throughout the valley (I have tried everywhere!) as they all served deep-double fried fries which were barely passable. That all changed when I visited Hillpoint. Even though it was not close to our hotel, we stopped by for kahwa and after seeing the fries on another table, I decided to order some.

This is a place for the backpackers. Had a really quick lunch here – although it cost more than I expected, but for the view and for the fresh air and fresh food, it is acceptable. This is a fairly non descript place but the food was fantastic. Most of all the Kehva was incredible. Food for the soul after spending some time hiking or skiing.

We loved the burgers and fries at this restaurant, as well as the warm and cozy atmosphere. A big thank you to Hillpoint for a great experience!

It has excellent vegetable biryani. We enjoyed it the first evening when we reached to gulmarg. It tasted so nice that we went on eating it till it got finished.
