Reviews had been mixed but location was right so I tried. I agree with the mixed reviews. We were the first two customers in for dinner on a Saturday night. The waitress forgot my wine order and had to ask me again. She also didn’t know how the specials were prepared and did not offer one I heard it offered to a neighboring table while we were eating). Some of the wait staff were fussing with their hair or focused on their phones. While it wasn’t busy, these aren’t behaviors that I want to see in the bar/prep area. Appetizers salads were good and my husband enjoyed his Ruben, but they forgot the sauce on the side he requested. I got the fish special which was over cooked.
Wait staff new and had significant delays. In addition, twice we had other wait staff attempt to serve us food we did not order. We had to ask for refills on water, tea, and wine. Overall not great.
4/5 stars. It would have been 5/5 but my allergies were acting up very badly in this building, which tells me that there is a dust or mold problem. But other than that, food was great, servers polite, and it had a great feel to it.
Our dinner was the best meal we had during our stay at Gettysburg. The food and service couldn’t have been better and they offer a nice wine list.
