Just went pass there today. Lights on, chairs and signs put outside. They definitely OPEN
It was so disappoint and never wanna go back to this place. The food was taste so weird and these food is not even close to korean food!!! The recipe on the menu was totally wrong. I just paid and left this place to have my dinner. It was wasting my time and money!!
This place has amazing food and I would definitely recommend coming here. Came here on a Saturday night at 7:30 and we were seated right away. The place was pretty empty with only one table occupied Service 5/5: service was good since there was only one other table. Server was nice and got us whatever we wanted Food: 5/5 rose spice rice cake: was probably the best ttokboki I've ever had. It had the perfect amount of heat to it. It was almost like a spicy carbonara. The rice cakes had a nice chew to it and the bacon helped enhance the flavor. 5/5 bulgogi mushroom bao: lots of flavor and the bao was soft. The green onions give it a nice crunch and the mushrooms were noce and soft 3/5 King oyster mushrooms: these were good, but the mushrooms were too thin compared to the large amounts of breading. The flavors were good and the sauce tasty. 4/5 Beer battered Jalapeños: weren't spicy at all, but were very flavorful. The ranch helped bring everything together 5/5 Bossom fried: was very juicy with a nice crispy outside. The paste that it came with was super flavorful 3/5 Milk and Tea Mochi donuts: The flavors were actually really good, just the execution was lacking. Inside was nice and creamy and tasted just like milk tea. The outside was too hard, almost like a cookie hard. Usually mochi donuts are soft, but this was a hard cookie
I have mixed feelings about this place because almost 1/3 of the menu was already out of stock an hour before closing so we had limited options to choose from. We ordered the chinese style pork buns which normally is served with crispy duck skin with potentially thin slice of meat. But isn't it ironic a place that has duck in it's name doesn't serve anything duck related?Enough about that, the buns were great, the rice cake dish was a little too much carbs without enough anything else to make it a fulfilling meal, so we ended up ordering the steamed pork belly dish which was quite tender and good. I just felt the dishes should stand on their own rather than kind of a mixed bag. The rice cake dish lacked protein/veggie in the mix so much so that even after ordering the pork belly dish, there was still significant amount of rice cakes left. I will throw in that there is a side of pickled daikon like some korean place that serve korean fried chicken, but none of the other side dishes you would expect. The decor/atmosphere of the place felt like it wanted to be a chinese/taiwanese food hall, but with korean/chinese fusion but trying to be hip vibe with prices? And it didn't serve a single dish of duck? It's like saying steakhouse but it doesn't serve steaks.
