Bidrage med feedbackNew Year’s Eve Dinner was a bit underwhelming. We started with the lobster hushpuppies, which were tasty. The beet salad lacked beets and other toppings. It was mostly spinach. The fries were good but most of them were nubs. The redfish was very spicy. It was packed with jalapeño’s, which was unexpected. The presentation was nice. The lamb was ok. I had high hopes for this place. Maybe I should have ordered something more exotic. Our server was nice and the service was good.
The jalapeños margaritas are the bomb. Tim love is a true culinary gaint.
This may be the first review I’ve ever left but I have a lot of thoughts because the restaurant genuinely has a lot of potential. We came on New Year’s Eve not sure if that was our first mistake or not but the restaurant didn’t seem crazy busy for a holiday evening. I received a call earlier in the evening asking us if we would be available for an earlier reservation and then when we arrived our table wasn’t available and we had to wait for 30 minutes which I would have just kept the original reservation if it wasn’t going to be ready and then we were offered a table on the patio in the back corner possibly the worst table in the restaurant. The night ended up fine we were celebrating a special occasion which we told the waiter multiple times. The service was just strange all around. Our waiter was ok but for a higher end restaurant you expect better service. I felt like our waiter was hardly listening to us and was constantly looking around at other tables. We also had multiple people approach us calling us the wrong name which was interesting but we rolled with it. The food is actually really good though we started off with a few of the appetizers which were amazing and I got the Bison ribeye which was also cooked incredibly well. We got the ancho chili chocolate cake. I specifically asked the waiter multiple times if they were able to write a special message on the cake and he said yes and then they didn’t which was just again annoying. The food is overall very good but the service was strange and honestly uncomfortable. We were recommended the restaurant by a lot of friends and family as we are new to the area but will probably not be going back given the price you pay for below average service. It may have been an off night given the holiday so we hope the experience is better for others because the food is actually incredibly good.
I've been a high end server for years. The servers could use polishing for the price you pay.
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday in early December. We came early to enjoy the atmosphere and have a drink at the bar. Doug was terrific. The bar was slammed but he never missed a beat. Adam was our waiter and we couldn’t decide on the apps so he brought us a trio of rabbit/ rattlesnake steak sausages, sliders and tostada chips. Every bit was perfect. We had the butter lettuce salad .. again lettuce that could not have been better. We had the special that night was a bison rib eye and stuffed lobster. I was nervous about the bison but the flavor was amazing and the lobster was perfectly cooked. We’ve eaten all over the country and I can say without a doubt that this was the best meal we’ve ever had. Even the broccoli had such an amazing flavor. We ended with the chocolate cake .. yummmm. Adam was great. Always there at the right time when we needed a drink or had a question. Very attentive. We shared our meal and it was perfect. I wish I had not waited so long to try this restaurant. Most definitely will be back.
