Bangbelly - Fogo

Stopped into this place for a late lunch. We were greeted by friendly staff. Restaurant was clean and well laid out. Waitress was also friendly and very helpful. Food arrived shortly after ordering and arrived hot and fresh. We also picked up some fresh desert to eat later in the day. The food was plentiful and excellent. Make sure and visit this place when in Fogo.

Came on a Friday in July and even though it was full and really busy the waitress managed to ask us how we were doing many times which we really appreciated. She interacted with our children which we loved and their hot chocolate had latte style art on it so our kids were pumped! We’ve done a lot of cafes and this was their first for that. Chai tea was perfect. Dill pickle fries delicious. Shrimp roll, salad and cod and corn chowder soup were all amazing. A gem to have in Fogo. I hope others enjoy it as much as we did. Great atmosphere.

Fantastic restaurant find in an island with not much options. Food and atmosphere is definitely 5 stars and feels upscale but yet casual and have a small town vibe.

Hopped from the ferry directly to catch brunch at Bangbelly (better to reserve in advance). Place is very nice and host was very friendly. They hand make their own vanilla syrup that they use to serve in the Milk chocolate drink. Food was great no complaints. They have a wide variety of pastries that we didn’t get a chance to try but we’ll head there again to get a quick bite.

Enjoyed my first experience at Bangbelly so much! Was greeted at the door with a smile by Sandy, the charismatic host and seated at a cozy table in the corner. My partner and I ordered a couple delicious ice teas (get the Very Berry! and ate the most fantastic buttermilk chicken tenders I've ever had in my life! We shared the chicken sandwich and chicken and waffles, both were to die for. Get the signature fries with seasonings! Lots of variety, lots of flavour and a great menu for any time of the day. Have been back a few times and had great cod chowder, cheeseburgers and alfredo pasta. 10/10!
