Gabutto Burger - Elgin

Gabutto Burger is permanently closed. I went on the last night, did it live up to my expectations. It was mid at the most. Service was a dumpster fire. The black girl working the register didn't even tell me what sides they still had available. Service in general was nonexistent. The orders were a mess so they were confused on who got their food and who didn't. They didn't have any of the rice-wich or the crabby burger available. We got the Gabutto burger, Thai curry chicken naan-wich, fried calamari, and chicken wings with Thai curry sauce on the side. Gabutto burger with all of the toppings was a 5/5. It was a pretty good burger. If you came like 20 mins later and after that, you only got like a bun and piece of patty, no toppings. Thai curry chicken naan-wich was a 3/5. Chicken was juicy and fresh. I was lucky to get some lettuce on my sandwich. Chicken wings was 3/5. They could have been a lot bigger for the price. Fried calamari was 4/5. Probably the second most decent item I've had there. Honestly, it's a good thing they're closed. Service and food wasn't very impressive. Food was way overpriced.

I stopped in here after single track biking. Although they have many choices, I got a plain classic cheeseburger with sidewinder fries and a mango cold brew tea. Ordered two burgers to go with fries. Neither burger came out correctly and the fries were barely cooked. We heard great things, but we won’t be coming back. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
