Kubo Sushi And Sake Lounge - Elgin

I love their bento! Their food is full of flavor, not too salty, not too bland, just perfect! Price is reasonable for the amount of food that they serve. Servers are very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely eat here again.Food: 5/5

Showed up 15 minutes early. We were told our table should be ready soon which we fully understood as we were early. We told the hostess that we will just grab a drink at the bar and wait. Her immediate response was that the bar is “full” (which it wasn’t) and she proceeded to tell us to go outside and walk around and come back. We took her recommendation and found the Latin Kitchen two doors down and had a wonderful dinner and experience. FYI, we had been here before and the food is great. The hostess up front needs a new career.

Decided to try this gem of a spot about a month ago and again tonight with no regrets. The signature sushi rolls are absolute sushi perfection that will pleasantly surprise even the pickiest of palates. The grilled calamari was incredible and the staff is great. So happy to add this restaurant to one of the places I regular. For me, Kubo is at the top of places I will go for sushi and the best part is that there is so much more I look forward to trying on their extensive menu.

We had tempura combo and tat tar pyramid for apps...both were awesome....tar tar was FAB!! We shared the large sashimi plate which was super fresh and all melted like butter in your mouth! Also got a 2 roll lunch spevial...rolls were also great! Nice service, lovely lady in charge who knows what's UP! Will DEFINITELY be back! Highly recommend! Thank you for a lovely delicious lunch!
