Armadillo Pizza - El Cajon

My husband and I have found this delicious jewel new! My husband had met the owner and got him a favor so he took me there to meet him and eat pizza and unfortunately we found out he was dead. We met his daughter and her husband who worked behind the counter and cooking now, and we hope and pray that they find a positive way to go to the restaurant without working themselves and taking what they usually do for work. They were the most beautiful and happy couple and just want the best for their late fathers master creation (the best pizza ever)!!! They always smile in good mood, and the pizza never changes. It's always perfect. Thank you for your hard work!!

Best Pizza I had throughout the East Bay area, in fact all the way to LA next to another place in SF I will leave unnamed. Get Pepperoni Feta and Anchovies, this is their best combo. Absolutely amazing taste. They probably know that. I've been to them for about a year. Very nice guys, they treat you like family. This 3.5 review I saw should be a 5 or more.

From Peperoni to the crust, this place was right at the top. Seems to be father and son. The owner said this was 27. Year was in business, and from his smile to the quality of pizza, I would say he enjoyed every year. revision: I made a mistake; the Lord I thought his son was actually the second owner in command (a reflection). The last time I took my children to the Armadillo, we were sad to hear that the owner had gone. I'm sure his friendly and polite demon is missing from his employees and many locals. He is one of the few who worked to the end, but actually loved what he did (jahed by his daughter). However, I was pleased to see that these rare and questioned features were passed on to his daughter (the one who stretches her neck to welcome you over the counter). According to her, the pizza and the service remain at her father's high standards, but they will be some urgently needed app ' based upgrades indicative for the 21st. Century. So please accept my apology and accept an important change in our current ways to see gender roles. It seems that Armadillo Pizza in our community will have a long duration as "N Pop Shop".

It was not informed that they were closed so that my earlier review reflected some frustration with difficulties to get in touch with them. They reacted to let me know they were open again (may be better communicated in the future), and I ordered pizza. Fantastic as always, and fast delivery!

Best pizza anywhere in Bay Area, hands down. Has been that way over 15 years that I've had it. No added non pizza menu items. They do 1 thing and they do it right. Would give 6 stars if I could.
