Morena Cafe - East Tamaki New Zealand

Having walked pass this cafe all the time but never thought to try it. It is right next to the library with good amount of seatings. The selection of food was quite good. The date scone we ordered was quite good, fresh and tasty. Would definitely go back and try other food next time.

Come here almost every week. Love the location, the food and especially the friendly staff. It's so nice (and rare) to find somewhere quiet to contemplate. One of BTC's best-kept secrets.<br/ <br/ As an addendum to the above, they have changed their cheese scones and now are greatly inferior to how they were previously. A great shame.

This lovely cafe can be found above the food hall and next to the Library.  It is quieter up here compared to in the food hall.  We found the service exceptional and food very good quality and value for money.  We had the toasted sandwiches, but there were plenty of options in the cabinet, where we noticed a gorgeous lemon muffin, which was amazing.  All served promptly, considering the poor lady was on her own, and always with a smile and you felt like nothing was a problem.  Would highly recommend, plus if you sit near the windows you get to watch the world pass by.

Friendly staff who welcome you with a smile. When I sat down the lady behind me was complaining the food took ages, and it did indeed take a long time to arrive. The quesadilla was tasty but cold in the middle which was disappointing. Overall probably won’t come back for a meal but the coffee and atmosphere was nice.

This is the only cafe in Botany town center that opens until late. Very convenient location, I always grab a cup of coffee whilst I study at the library.Quick service, most of the staff are quiet. Coffee tastes good, not too bitter.I love how they use compostable cups, they are the only cafe I've been to that uses compostable ones.
