Great service from Kristen. She kept calm in the busy restaurant. Delicious crispy coconut shrimp. Stay clear of power bowl.

Typical restaurant pub vibe. the table given to us were a bit too tight for us considering we had kids with us. not too many restaurants to choose from here in this area. service was slow. the experience is just meh. food is ok. we had fish and chips, pizza, pasta, burger.. all were up to standard like other restaurants. not bad.

After doing the Walking in the Clouds tour, we stopped in at McKecks for lunch and had an amazing lunch, The salad was huge and tasty and my husband enjoyed his 100% beef burger. Lovely view of the surrounding forest. Great staff. Would definitely come back .

Great service and awesome food. Best artichoke and spinach dip we’ve ever had and the pizza was delicious. We will be back!

Have been coming here for 12 years and today was definitely the worst experience. Short staffed, we were seated at the first table on the right when you step in, very hard on the back, as it’s an old hockey bench. Whatever, it was probably the worst table in the restaurant, there were other high tops available but we got seated at this crappy table. Service was very bad, maybe due to short staffed? My husband wanted to order a LOCAL drought beer but they were out. It’s the highest tourism season and they’re out of beer? Then I order a margarita that is maybe 2 ounces of actual liquid, they filled the glass with so much ice to water it down. Service, again was not good, we never got asked if we wanted another drink or checked on. When our server finally came after we called her we got a 2nd round of drinks WITH our meal. We’d asked for sauerkraut on the side but it was in the sandwich. We’d asked for mayo on the side and got mustard. The fries were cold and dried out, the Reuben was fatty and had to remove all the grisle to chew it. Very disappointed at the all around experience. We haven’t been in 2 yrs due to pandemic but always try to support local. We have never had this experience here before and unfortunately we won’t be returning. For the amount of I’m paying I do expect better service and food. It’s a shame as there are not many places to go eat in Haliburton. This has gone way down hill.
