City Barbeque - Durham

Food was pretty good. I asked for no bun, but still received it. The beef brisket was really good. I got the 3 sides plate: peach cobbler was okay, the cornbread was great, and the salad I couldnt really enjoy without my dressing(forgot to put it in the bag). Also didnt receive any utensils, luckily my hotel had some. I give this place a 4 for the minor issues with my order. The brisket was A1 though.

Ribs where burnt, brisket and turkey was try and the Mac and chessewas cold with no fla at all. The cornbread was the best part about the whole meal.

The brisket was way to greasy and by the time I got it was cold. The cornbread was so dry and not very sweet.

The LoLos Pulled Pork and Banana Pudding were delicious, the bbq had a lovely eastern Carolina vinegar based sauce and the banana pudding had caramel, toasted nilla wafer pieces, and real banana slices. The potato salad was sweet, which I didnt like, and somewhat flavorless, and the Mac and cheese was such a disappointment because it sounded so good but was just a mushy flavorless blah (my mom liked it and I admit Im very picky when it comes to Mac and cheese so take my review with a grain of salt).

Every single item was delicious. Wish there was more bbq on the LoLos Pulled Pork sandwhich, but it was still really filling and some of the best pork Ive ever had. The fried okra was the best okra I have ever eaten, and the peach cobbler was delicius. Well worth the price.
