Purgy’s @ Purgatory Resort - Durango

Thank you to SkiPurg for hosting a wonderful event on Teachers Appreciation Day.

The ambience was pleasant and the food was tasty, but there was only one server for the entire restaurant. The days they are closed vary each year so it's best to check in advance. The prices for entrees and salads were reasonable, but the 'lava cake' was disappointingly small for the price of 9. It's difficult to keep track of their menu online as it frequently changes. Overall, the experience was decent, but some aspects could be improved.

The fries at this restaurant are unique and unlike any others I've tried. They're even better with chili cheese on top. The chicken tenders are also fantastic. We always enjoy visiting this place after coming down from the mountain.

Nothing is normal with the pandemic, especially in the bar and restaurant biz. Aprez ski doesn't really exist right now either, but Purgy's is open. 3 of us shared a few menu items and all were delicious. Our server was attentive and friendly and took good care of us.

The kitchen fights to prepare for food, even during slower times. my steak was undercooked. the hamburgers were carved. All-in-all, no good value for the money.
