The Steamboat Inn - Dumfries Galloway

The food at this restaurant was decent, but nothing extraordinary. My husband had to return his dish because he had ordered a well-done steak, but it was still pink inside. The atmosphere was lacking, though it was relatively quiet. It might have been a different experience with more people.

We are holidaying in Southerness and were recommended to try the Steamboat Inn. The service was very good, welcoming and attentive. The choice on the menu was quite extensive and varied. Every dish we ordered was super fresh and very well cooked and presented. All of the staff were very friendly and we all had a lovely relaxing dining experience. A resounding recommendation from all of us to anyone who is looking for a quality, reasonably priced dining experience.

This charming pub offers delicious homemade food, a wide selection of drinks, and excellent friendly service. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

Upon arrival, the staff at the restaurant greeted us warmly. The Inn has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with unique decorations hanging from the ceiling and walls. We shared the Seafood Platter, which we had pre-ordered, and it was excellent. Other diners at nearby tables were impressed by our platter and even took pictures of it. The service was great and the meal was very reasonably priced. If you are in the area, we highly recommend visiting the Steamboat Inn. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely gem!! The food, the service, the surroundings everything it was just fantastic!! As 2 couples we went for an evening meal and so glad we did. Service was so quick, as was the food, which came out so quick and looked so appealing that we never even had time to take any photos. Fresh, plentiful, and downright **** tastey. We all had different meals and each one was cooked beautifully. We would highly recommend it. This was dog friendly.
