Bidrage med feedbackDuring my recent visit to Fogo, I discovered a restaurant conveniently located across the street from where we were staying. I decided to try their egg rolls and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious they were. As I watched the lady cooking in the kitchen with large pots on the stove, I couldn't help but be captivated by the surreal atmosphere. Overall, the egg rolls were excellent and I would definitely recommend them.
The only Chinese food on the island I've had much better Canadian Chinese. The big table of diners were having steak and fries.
The food is delicious, the service is casual and family-like, and the prices are reasonable. The beer may be served warm, there could be a wait while the owner prepares the food, and there could be a language barrier when placing an order. TwoInMaine specializes in fish and rice dishes, and we have always had a great experience when ordering anything that is not traditionally served brown. It is a refreshing change from other dining options on the island and has proven to be a longstanding favorite.
We tried this restaurant because there weren’t many options on Fogo Island. The food was nice and hot but we were used to chow mein having noodles. Our dish did not. It had mostly cabbage and a tiny bit of carrots and celery. There was only about 5 thin pieces of pork. It wasn’t that flavourful and not very filling. We were disappointed. At least it wasn’t that pricey. We had to ask again for our drinks as the woman who took our order was also the cook.
Called up and she said it will be half an hour. Got there a half an hour later and still had to wait another hour. Heard rats in the wall while standing up waiting to get our food. Asked to pay separately and the women working freaked out at us after making us wait for an hour and a half. THEN I gave her the money to pay and she didn’t give me the change and continued to make other orders. I was so fed up I just left.
