Bistro Baldanza - Darien

A wonderful experience! It started by opening the door for us and continuing with excellent service abd attention and care. The food presentation was beautiful and delicious! My new favorite restaurant!

We had a party of 7 to celebrate a birthday. Everything from the wait staff to the food to the ambience was perfect. Everyone dinners were delicious, including tagliatelle with prosciutto, peas mushrooms in cream sauce, a mushroom risotto that was loose and flavorful like risotto is supposed to be, a special of pasta with lobster sauce featured half a perfectly cooked lobster. The pastas are all homemade and perfectly al dente. The staff went out of its way to accommodate a party member with a serious gluten allergy by offering gf bread with herbed dipping olive oil and a dessert of beautiful fresh fruit. The food runners didn’t have to ask who got what dish-they knew. Our waiter checked in periodically (just the right amount) to make sure we had what we needed and we’re enjoying ourselves. The owners checked in with us. Our water glasses never got less then half full. I wish all my dining experiences were this good. I can’t wait to go back.
