Captain Whidbey - Coupeville

Wonderful evening. Service was top notch and the food was excellent. We were a party of 4 with reservations. Two of our group ordered the Fish Chips, both parties enjoyed them, said they were cooked perfectly, crunchy and not greasy at all and just the right portion. One of our party had the House Special which was a boar meatloaf over white truffle mashed potatoes. So delicious they asked for the recipe. One of our group Ordered the Captain Whidbey burger. Cooked to perfection and generous portion. We all agreed we will be back!

As soon as we entered, we were welcomed with a friendly greeting. We were then seated at a table next to the fireplace where we received excellent service and enjoyed a delicious dinner.

We had Cameron as our waiter once again and we were impressed with his recommendations, friendly demeanor, and the extra attention he gave us. He is very personable and professional, making him an outstanding waiter. We may even request him next time as he truly enhanced our dining experience. We brought my brother and his girlfriend from Cincinnati, as well as a friend from San Diego, and they all enjoyed the inn and dinner experience. Despite living on Guemes Island, we will continue to bring friends and family to this restaurant.

The food and service at this restaurant are consistently excellent. I highly recommend this place and am surprised they do not have a Michelin star.

Penn Cove mussels with home made bread and crisp white wine, lovely staff and a very special ambience…. Highly recommend!
