Captain Americas, Elephant Castle And Dollard Pizza Cork

We booked a table for my daughter’s birthday, it was her choice for her birthday dinner, we drove to cork which is over 20km and parked in Tesco carpark we walked to restaurant and found a locked door ?? A sign on the door saying closed until the 27th of July due to renovations?? Why I’m good gods name are ye taking bookings if yer closed ?? Really not except able, close the cork website and say due to renovations it’s simple and common sense

Made a booking. When we arrived on Saturday restaurant was closed. No text or email to inform us of this.

Arrived with two kids, restaurant was closed for a few days. No contact from the restaurant and they were still accepting bookings online.

Booked the table through OpenTable, then arrived at the restaurant to find it is closed for a week for refurbishment work !

Last time we were here was about a year ago and everything was perfect, this time very disappointing, food was very average chips were drinched in salt and steak was cremated even though it was meant to be cooked medium. No pizzas for kids(was a busy day for them they said so ran out)and still waiting for our second round of drinks we ordered but never came. Very disappointing as we used to love the place the menu used to be good for kids and adults so great for families so whatever has gone wrong since we were last there they would want to fix it.
