Belvelly Castle De Barrà - Cork

Belvelly Castle is a tower house from the 14th-15th century. Century in Co. Cork. It is located next to the small village of Belvelly and it overlooks the only road bridge connecting Fota Island to Great Island. The architecture of the castle is stunning and there is a large field right next to this castle. There is also a round cylindrical space with a curved roof next to the lock. I lived around here and would like to go back there!

That was a real surprise on the way to Cobh. The location of this private castle is pure perfection.

Nicely brightened for St.Patrick's Day 2021. I love visiting this castle from time to time. It is close to the public, but you can always get some good photos.

Beautiful restored castle on the entrance to the large island. This year the owners decided to light up the castle for Christmas. The castle is private.
