Hawkeye Grill - Cooperstown

16. October 2019 I was part of a CSEA dinner meeting at Hawkeye. My whiskey and soda was so watered that I asked if there was whiskey at all. Rolls were put on the table, but there was no butter. The appetizers came out after a while and were marginal. It took forever until the salads came out. Then there was a long waiting period (near 1/2 hour) served for the main entrée. I ordered Prime Rib, medium rare. When it was served, it was raw. It looked like it just went over the grill. I couldn't eat it. The baked potato served it was lukewarm, and again there were no butter or acid cream served with it. The best part was the hard, crunchy asparagus. I didn't stay for Dessert. Very disappointing. I was aware that other sessions were up to date, but the management should have thought ahead and have made arrangements for more servers. Great experience for such a well-known, picked restaurant.

A cozy atmosphere full of friendly people and attentive waiters. Some people even bought us a drink! Steak hit the spot the price, it was classic chic food, nothing bold, served hot and fresh with the basics made right. Defend is worth a date nightlife.

We had dinner at 4. July, probably the busiest night of the year. Food and service were right. The ingredients are obtained locally. The menu was unique, creative and wonderfully delicious. It is wonderful to have so many vegetarian options. This is a restaurant that could be a Michelin Star prospectus if it is in a large city center. It goes well over its picturesque city railway. Grandslam drive home! We decided to share our positive experience with the manager and he offered us to buy drinks. So beautiful!

10 of us went in for a birthday dinner. Matt was our waiter. He was very professional and knowledgeable of the menu. The meal was excellent and the atmosphere awesome. Overall great experience.

Nice place for a leisurely lunch. Such a great set of options in the menu. Service was great. View from our table of the lake and scenery was amazing. We will be back to eat here again.
