Bidrage med feedbackSmall British restaurant (not really a pub) that really supplies. Came to try something new for Father's Day. the staff was friendly and nice. They had a few British beers on draft, and it was nice to enjoy this to stay on theme. The menu is not very large, which is beautiful, because they seem to focus on what they offer and do well. The beerbatter fish chips are delicious. The dough is not greasy and the fish is beautiful and flocky. Not muddy or hard. We had the Sheppard Pie chips that made a funny turn on the classic. It is the normal filling on a basket of frits (chips). The meat and alice cake was great. Savory and sewn to perfection. The cattle sheds were tender and the severity was a good consistency to mix with the potatoes. Both children tried and loved it. A child has the little Ben Hamburger and it didn't last. I am sad that this place does not come closer to me as it is prepared to show football matches regularly with 2 projectors/screens. Looks like a good place to see a game.
Here came for the Bangers and Mash!! Potatoes were creamy. My bangers were pollinated in creamy onion sauce with green peas. The criminals were juicy and juicy. Everything tasted fresh. One in this dish is that I can enjoy the taste 2 days later. Place is small, but accomodating. The staff is very friendly. So for now these are the best färgers and Maische hands down!!!
First visit since the move from old location. Music, English eats, and new decor. You walk in with the new decor the bar is great and beautiful the lighting is a bit dark throughout the core of the restaurant. We love the new London clock tower and large English jack on the entry to kitchen door. The outdoor seating is sparse, but will be great in the spring and fall weather. We had the scotch eggs, not to my preferred cooking temp, the egg was hard instead of runny, for our appetizer. We then had, the new bacon banger balls which came with a bacon brown sauce and a silky smooth mash. Wife felt the meatballs were a tad strong on seasoning. I had the steak and Ale pie, it seemed like the same mix as the stew with a puff pastry that was a tad on the smaller size. For dessert we had the sticky toffee bread pudding. Thinking this would be served warm it was still sweet and tasty but served at a cold temp. The service was great and the staff friendly. The owner is an old school English soccer player with an interest in gluten free dishes. He his wife and his son run a great establishment. We wish them great success after their restaurant impossible show airs in August. We were sad they moved to Colleyville but we will always be back.
I’d been here a few times before they moved locations — the food is still delicious and I love the streamlined menu options! Last night I had the mini GF fish and chips, my friends had the mini GF Mac cheese, we each got a slice for dessert, and she got a beer! Our bill came to $35 — the prices are reasonable too! The inside of the restaurant is very cool and they offer men’s/women’s handicap accessible restrooms. There is a beautiful but small) outdoor area and the new area where they are located is quiet and peaceful. 5 star experience all around
Decided to taste this restaurant because it was nearby and the terrace was dog friendly. I wasn't disappointed. The service was great and very friendly. As for the food it was incredibly delicious. Had the beef stew with potatoes in it. It was plate licking well. For dessert, the Rhabarb had crumb cheese cake. It was absolutely delicious. I can only say you have to eat here.
