Bidrage med feedbackLooking for pizza late night, and found Grand Italia Pizzeria. We walked in and ordered a personalized pizza that was made right in front of our eyes. Staff were very friendly and courteous. The pizza was excellent, it did not last 10 minutes after we got back to our hotel room. When looking for the location on the map, we almost made the mistake of walking into the pizzeria next door, glad we didn’t, I don’t know how they could maker a better pizza than the one we received.
We just had to return to this little Italian cafe for a 2nd time as it was hard to imagine getting such a Wonderful Satisfying meal anywhere else. The busy cafe is small and rustic with seating for approximately 20 people but I found it 's non fussy interior and truly Italian staff overseen by the Mama d ' casa just added to the charm of this little cafe. We ate pizza on both visits as we just couldn 't resist and unfortunately used up our time in Lovely Cobh so I can 't comment on other dishes which I would have Loved to try also...by the standard of the pizza I can assume everything else on the menu would be Wonderful too !!!
Someone not far below in the reviews (which was one star by the way ... said that they were shouting at each other, having an argument and this and that ... Well brace yourself, cause if you're going to an Italian restaurant and want the authentic experience, this is it, it's what you get. Seat back, relax end enjoy the flight to Rome Yes the man (not sure if he's the owner or works there is loud and doesn't lower his tone at all, but it's all part of the charm. He's by no means rude, he's really approchable, nice fellow. Even until now I'm not sure if his accent was more Cork or Italian. Pizza was very tasty and everything was fresh. To conclude it I'd say even in sunny and warm Italy a snowflake appears from time to time
Friendly fun atmosphere celebrating 80th year last time with such tasty Italian pizza was in Bologna for 70th birthday we will be back again to Cobh soon this year
I WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone. Rude staff firstly, all shouting at each other from the other side of what was another part that was a chipper. The toppings were scarce on the pizzas that me and my friends ordered. Also seemed like everything was frozen. They made them right in front of us but it didn’t seem fresh at all like you’d expect an “Italian” pizza to have. Then they had an argument with a delivery driver. There was so much going on in there it was almost like a zoo. Nothing authentic about the place. Better off going to Supermac’s or else get frozen pizza from a shop. Don’t wast your time.
