South 21 Drive In - Charlotte

It's all as good as they've been rated! There is a reason why they were introduced to Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. This place is the real Deal Drive-in Diner and is definitely worth your time and money. Speaking of money, we have a lot of food for the price. Spent 27 dollars and had enough food for 3 or 4 people. Definitely a great place to take the family. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. If there is a place, take the time to try while in Charlotte, you can't go wrong to the South 21 Drive in!

Great place to get a classic cheeseburger. No bells and pipes, just a good burger. The milkshakes are very light, but couple very good with a burger and fries. Also the side of the ketchup comes in a small plastic cup and they will give you ketchup packages with your order if you only need a small amount of ketchup.

I have the fish and shrimp plate, a double cheeseburger and the side of the onion rings. Fish and shrimp was delicious, moist on the inside. Burger was good, not dry. Onion rings were super dried. Go back.

You have the absolutely best Fried Trout Plate I've ever eaten. I don't know what she's doing with her tartaric acid, but I could eat it myself. And their homemade cherry coke like the old school soda shops. Yummmm!

Saw the episode on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Finally was able to visit on a recent trip to Charlotte...was really excited about trying the chicken.. it had crunchy crispy skin and chicken was juicy but no seasoning whatsoever..I'm glad they gave me some salt packs so I could atleast finish eating it so I didn't waste money..also tried a cheeseburger with chili, it was pretty good but needed more chili...
