Noda Brewing Company - Charlotte

This local brewery is amazing! It's one of the oldest in Charlotte and their expertise really shines through. The taproom is cozy and the location is beautiful. I highly recommend trying the Captain Peanut Butter's Foggy Morning, a peanut butter porter that has been aged for a year in whiskey barrels. It was absolutely delicious.

I had a great time at this restaurant, enjoying a cider and appreciating the cultural inclusivity. It was unexpected to find that it was family friendly, as it is a brewery. There was a tasty Caribbean food truck outside too. Definitely worth checking out, especially on the first Saturday of the month.

NoDa Coco Loco: NoDa Brewing was established in 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina. While I don't drink beer as much as I did in college, I couldn't resist trying out some craft beers, especially if they're complimentary. Last summer, during a wedding in North Carolina, I found a stocked American Porter in our Airbnb fridge. The sweltering heat made me bring it back to Wisconsin to enjoy during the winter. This porter has a deep mahogany color with scents of chocolate and roasted malts. The taste is said to have a subtle bitterness from the chocolate, balanced out by sweet organic toasted coconut. Personally, I mostly tasted dark chocolate, but my beer palate isn't the most refined. For those with more sophisticated tastes, Coco Loco won the 2012 Great American Beer Festival Silver Medal and the 2021 U.S. Open Beer Championship Bronze Medal. Nice, spacious facility, great beers of many varieties, good vibes, usually friendly, great people who I've enjoyed many, so many hours in conversation with and many strangers became good friends. This is a type of place that brings people together

Even with the loss of so much parking this place is still hopping. A great selection of their brews. Lots of outdoor activities available. Plenty of indoor seating too. Follow them for various activities happening throughout the week.
