The waitress seemed uninformed. eating was ok, but my coworker didn't like her fish and chips

My friend and I took his parents to murphy this last Saturday. we have reservations for 5:30. there was more unexpected traffic on the way, so I called 5:25 to explain this and ask them to keep my reservation and we were on the way. the guy on the phone told me that it was no problem and that they would see us soon. when we arrived there at 5:40, the host had given away our reservation, so the only option for sitting outside was 82 degrees and did not really want to sit out there, but we had no choice. When the waitress came out, she first took our drink order. my friends mom and I both wanted a glass white wine $7.50 when she came back, she let us know that they were from this wee, so we told her another kind of wee to bring us $7.50. so came back option and told us that it was from this wein as well as that the only option was the $11,50 glass wein and added the little side note that we were still the $11,50 we were not after a discount, but so uninformativ about the what kind of wein was available, was extremely annoying plus claims that we had to pay the $11,50 we had to pay a full price overall the experience was not good and I would not recommend any of my friends.

Murphy’s is our favorite weekend casual night out. great food and service!

The service at this restaurant was excellent. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and caring. She took us to a quieter table when one became available at the counter. She made sure everything was in order, even when some rowdy patrons had had a bit too much to drink. My husband enjoyed the fish and chips, which were very good, and even the coleslaw was tasty. I had the brussel sprouts and potatoes. The brussel sprouts were good, but the portion was surprisingly small, hardly more than 4 ounces! The potatoes were tasty, but the crispy ones could have been crispier. The bacon dressing was delicious. Both meals were warm, though not piping hot due to the busy atmosphere. We also tried the bread pudding, which tasted good but seemed a bit stale and lacking in fresh toppings. The coffee was weak. Overall, I would like to give this place another try as the food was decent. I would recommend it to a friend, but maybe not my picky mother. The music was loud but enjoyable.

Second visit to Murphys. Had such a great time a few weeks ago, we came back with our daughter and her fiancé. Excellent food. The shredded lamb Sammie is awesome. Also loved the Irish Boxties. Worth the drive!
