Mac's Speed Shop - Charlotte

I was extremely disappointed with my dining experience. Giving this restaurant 2 stars is being generous. Firstly, do not order a salad as they do not have fresh ingredients, only old iceberg lettuce and burnt bacon bits that leave a bad taste in your mouth. The St. Louis style ribs were tough and seemed to be reheated from the day before. The sausage was gritty. If you enjoy sweet, vinegar-drenched greens with a hint of spice, then this may be the place for you. Personally, I do not enjoy sugar in my savory dishes.

We decided to grab lunch here on our way back to South Carolina. It's conveniently located near the Premium Outlets and had great online reviews. We were seated promptly and served sweet tea. The weather was lovely, so the doors were open. I ordered the burnt brisket ends for the appetizer. It was very tasty, but the portion size was a bit small for the $15 price. My wife had the brisket taco, which she enjoyed. I also tried the 6 smoked wings, which were delicious. Our server, Nicole, provided excellent service. They have a huge selection of beers and the decor is really cool.

I don't give many 5-star reviews, but this Macs location definitely earned it today. From the prompt and friendly staff (even during the lunch rush) to the amazing food (those wings were incredible!), this place exceeded my expectations. Since it's close to my work, I will definitely be updating this review as I try more items on the menu!

This is the 2nd locatI have been to. This one was smaller but still had a good vibe. Food was good. This time I got the fried chicken sammie. My sister got the crispy cornmeal shrimp and said it was delicious. Husband got the hickory smoked pulled pork sandwich and said it was great. I don't remember the servers name bit she was on top of it and amazing.

If you like sport bar type restaurants, energetic atmosphere and good food this is the place you wanna go to! Service was great the food was good and they got a lot of big tvs around to watch your favorite sports.
