Bidrage med feedbackService was good. Cheerful and attentive. The food was very pedestrian. We had the pretzels for an appetizer. Not very good. I had the chicken quesadilla. Again, not good. It was soggy and the chicken was sweetened. Cheese, jalapeños were nonexistent. Wife had a cheddar burger. It was very good aside from the cheese looking/tasting a lot like American slices.
Placed an online order through their website. The food was not ready at pick up time. After waiting for 15 minutes, I was informed that they did not receive my online order and told me to wait for another 15 minutes. When I checked the order before I left, it was missing one dish. When I got home, I noticed they did not give me the tartar sauce for my fish chips so I had to go back. You better order by phone and check your order before leaving. Food was alright. Do better.
Our first time here delish! Great local craft beer, our orders of fish tacos and Sierra Vista hot dog with fried jalapeños were amazing, and I always appreciate a great handcut fry addition. We’ll be back!
Came here for a late lunch, so very few people. A small place inside, but they have some outdoor seating available. I was waited on by a nice young lady. I ordered a burger and it came with fries. The burger was good, but it was not cooked evenly. Part was medium, part was medium well. It did have a big slice of tomato and some good lettuce and pickle. The ketchup and mustard was on the table, but the almost empty ketchup was way too sweet...not very good, so I didn 't ask for another bottle. There was a small cup of sauce that was maybe mayo based....so I ate a few fries with that instead of more cheap ketchup. I didn 't eat many because they were not hot. I am not a big fries fan, so to eat them, they go down a lot easier hot...but these were not. Since it was an off time, it was obvious I got the leftovers from the lunch crowd. At least serve them hot, even if they are leftovers. A good sized burger, but pricey. I will not return.
I arrived at Gov's on a beautiful Fall day in North Carolina that was one of the first where the summer heat began to yield to the impeccable fall. I checked in at the host stand and chose a table outside. Sometimes I feel bad when choosing a table father away from the hustle of the restaurant because it means extra effort for my server but the gentleman taking care of me was incredibly kind and took great care of me. The Sierra Vista hot dog had been recommended to me. It's listed on the menu as having fried jalapeno, cotija cheese, diced tomatoes, and BBQ sauce. I ordered one then the server asked if I wanted two, but one seemed enough (and it WAS! . It arrived quickly. I liked that the friend jalapeno was strips not chips. This helped you get a spicy fried bite each time. I searched and couldn't find any BBQ sauce on mine. Which was ok, but I do love me some BBQ sauce. Also the bun, though delicious, immediately fell apart when I went to pick-up the dog for the first time. Not the biggest deal, but I was surprised because, without the sauce, there wasn't that much liquid involved which typically is the cause of disintegrating buns. The fries were tasty to and I got the housemade ranch. A great combo. A good dog, great service, and a lovely patio (aided by perfect weather : Go visit Gov's!
