Bidrage med feedbackFor our main courses, I ordered the medium filet mignon while my partner got the ribeye cooked medium rare. We were let down by the limited selection of side dishes. We decided to share a baked potato. Unfortunately, my steak was tasteless and burned on the outside to the point that I had to cut off the charred parts, which made it inedible. Robert's ribeye also lacked flavor. On the table, there were small dishes of salt and pepper. When I tried to refill one with my finger, I thought it would be replaced as part of a new table setting. I soon discovered that it wouldn't be and that the busboy just clears off other tables, which seemed like a health code concern. In the end, we felt robbed, as our bill came to $80. We won't be returning, which is a real disappointment. I guess we'll be heading back over the bridge to Stoney River Steakhouse next time.
The wedge salad was amazing, and it's great to see that they're not using Sysco products; you can really taste the difference in quality. The shrimp and grits had a unique twist that I thoroughly enjoyed, deviating from the usual sauces. The steaks were cooked perfectly, and I loved the creamy spinach side as well. For those coming from the north, I personally prefer the atmosphere at Prime 225 in Chesapeake City, but when it comes to the food and pricing, Joshua's has my vote.
A big thank you to Josh and the staff at their new restaurant! The steaks were fantastic and cooked exactly how I love them—Pittsburgh style. It was wonderful to see the owners come to our table to check on our experience with the food. We will definitely be back!
