Acme Food Beverage Co - Carrboro

We had dined at Acme before, so we were prepared for the noisy atmosphere. I enjoyed the spaghetti squash carbonara, while my husband found the pecan crusted fried chicken to be mediocre. My daughter ordered a medium-cooked steak but it came out rare. Although it was sent back to be cooked more, it took a while to be served again. They offered a complimentary dessert for the mistake, but we were too full to indulge. Unfortunately, no discount was provided.

I marked the service down only because it took 1:15 minutes to get our food. We were a two top.

We come to Acme all the time but this experience was bad. The vegetables in the risotto were not cooked and there was no meat, the pork chop was tough and flavorless, the brussel sprouts were burned, not just roasted, and they charged full price for a small piece of salmon on a bed of greens. Sorry to know the restaurant food has declined so far.

Acme is wonderful! It's one of my favorite local restaurants. Farm fresh ingredients in creative recipes. Service is attentive without being intrusive. Patio is wonderful if it's not raining.
