Bidrage med feedbackPretty Good. I had one roommate say it's fantastic, and one say it's horrible, so I had to try for myself. I went just before the dinner rush. It was starting to fill up, and I was seated immediately. First out was chips and salsa. They bring hot and mild. The mild is pretty bland, so I mixed a small amount of hot to make it the right temperature. I wasn't sure what to try as the menu has a lot to choose from. I opted for the large combination plate. It came with 2 beef tacos, a tamale, a bean and cheese tostada, and a cheese enchilada. I thought the tamale was very good. The pork was tender and the cornmeal not overpowering. They topped it with a chili bean sauce and, although tasty, I would leave it off. The taste of the tamale speaks for itself and doesn't need complicating. I'll give them props for not using store bought hard taco shells. They use actual corn tortillas fried crispy. They only had beef and lettuce in them, but I thought they were unique and tasty. The cheese enchilada was a little too overpowering with the cheese, so next time I would skip it. After digging through a large pile of lettuce (why do restaurants do that? I located the tostada, which I thought was fine, but nothing to write home about. Overall, I'd say it was a lot of food for the money, the service was prompt and friendly, and I would probably return. The only thing I might suggest to them is to maybe add some cheese or tomatoes to the tacos and enchiladas.
FRESH Mexican. Good food served very quickly. This is my favorite Mexican food outside of Texas. The Botana has super fresh ingredients. The chips are served HOT and the sauces are made fresh daily. The Crispy Flour Beef Taco is like you get in Texas authentic Mexican restaurants, and the braised pork burrito is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!BTW... some of the best coleslaw in town!!
Its ok. There was nothing to scream about but nothing to rave about either. It was ok. not my favorite mexican in the area, but I didn't go screaming from the restaurant either. If I was invited to go there I would...however I would never go out of my way to suggest we go there.
Good Mexican food for the money. Delicious margaritas!!!
Worth the trip. We live across town temporarily, but manage to stop in when we're in Canton or Plymouth. We've usually had pretty good food here every time we've stopped in, and you get quite a bit of food for the money. There are some authentic dishes on the menu, but a lot of it is the popular Tex-Mex. The chicken fajitas are always good here, and being regulars, we never have gotten charged extra for chips and salsa in all the 15 years we've been going here.
