Theo's Greek - Calderdale

The food was excellent ,tasty and fresh .Generous portions .All served by friendly helpful staff .But oh dear !!!!the wait ..We waited one hour 45 mins and others in the restaurant a similar time .It was quite clear the take away service occupied the attention of the staff and to the deteriment of seated customers ,maybe to support the business they need to do this but they really need to reduce customers waiting .

Poor service. Ordered food, then 30 minuites later was told that the specific dish was not available. Waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for food. Food was average. I did ask for discount and the very polite young waiter granted my request. I hope this was just a one off......a shame as one waiter was very polite and helpful.

I cannot comment on the quality of the food, simply because I never received it. I placed an order with this establishment just before 8pm on the 24th Feb via JustEat. The app advised it would be delivered around 8:30pm, which was perfect timing as the children would then be in bed I could enjoy a much looked forward to weekend treat. I received a notification on the app to say the order was delayed would now be delivered at around 8:45pm. Not a problem, it’s a Saturday night, these things happen. 8:45pm came went. I then received another notification to say the order would now be delivered at 9:10pm that the delivery driver was at the restaurant waiting for the food. Not great to be 40 minutes later than originally promised, but not the end of the world all things considered. You can see where this is now going…9:10pm came went, with no notification that the delivery driver was en route either. I tried calling the restaurant to check what was happening there was no answer still no food. I called again a further 5 times, meaning 6 calls in total, with still no food still no answer. It was now after 10:00pm at which point I had given up on ever receiving the order settled on eating a packet of the children’s Pom Bear crisps instead (don’t tell them) which, whilst they are lovely, they were not quite the halloumi, chicken pork extravaganza I had been looking forward to. I have launched an official complaint with JustEat in the hopes of reclaiming back the money for the order I didn’t receive. This establishment is not cheap they were all too happy to take my money, but have offered no apology, explanation or more importantly anything for me to eat. Should this establishment wish to contest this review, I have screenshots of all the unanswered calls, screenshots from the app showing the delivery driver is apparently ‘waiting at the restaurant’, for 1.5 hours (maybe they helped themselves to my food enjoyed a sit down meal at my expense who knows) and also data from home CCTV cameras that shows nobody ever turned up on the doorstep or attempted delivery, and believe me, I was looking out of my living room window in anticipation for a very long time. All in all, if you actually want to eat the food you have ordered, go elsewhere. If I could award 0 stars I would. No photos to add to the review as I have already binned the empty crisp packet.

The quality is excellent, I have been there twice now.

The food at the restaurant was delicious, but unfortunately, the Just Eat drivers made a mistake with our order and delivered KFC instead. They did eventually correct their error and deliver our original order, but by that time the food was cold. Despite this, it still tasted good. This experience has led me to decide that I will no longer order from Just Eat again. I apologize to the restaurant staff for my frustrations. Next time, we will just dine in at the restaurant instead.
