Martins Place - Bryan

This place is a jewel. I was here several times and the staff is always polite, friendly and super easy to treat. I know some complain about the waiting period, but it's not so long to wait. It is like turtle and rabbit, patience will reward you with perfect looking and tasty food, not something that is cut out at the speed of light that all looks sloppy and inconspicuous.

It is this quaint place that has been up and running since 1925. I can totally imagine it being the hangout place for Aggies once upon a time. The photos on the wall will walk you down the history of Texas A&M. The owners were so friendly and kind enough to show me around the BBQ pits that has been operating since 1939 (I have no idea how they remain there in this Texas heat). If you are in BCS area and want to grab a bite at someplace historic, Martin’s place it is.

This is a hidden gem not just in Bryan but in all of Texas. Martin’s is exceptional and a must do whenever you are in town or passing through the BBQ is incredible.

Great historical BBQ joint in Bryan. Prices are very reasonable and you can't beat the old school environment. Smokes stained walls.
