The Four Horsemen - Brooklyn

We had one of the best dining experiences at this restaurant! The food was amazing and unlike anything we've had before. The waiter's recommendations were perfect. The atmosphere was cozy and overall, it was a perfect 10/10 experience.

This was the most uncomfortable experience I have ever had in any New York City restaurant. We were early for our reservation and therefore decided to order wine at the bar while we waited. The bartender was busy speaking to the French couple to our left, so we waited to be acknowledged after. After finishing with them, he moved on to the couple on our right and then proceeded to check on EVERY seat at the bar, except ours. We patiently waited for about 15 minutes without a greeting, water, or menus being offered. We tried to get his attention, but he was blatantly ignoring us.The hostess must have sensed our discomfort because she rushed over and immediately got us water and menus. We ordered wine and she poured us glasses and left. It was only when our table was ready, the bartender told us to enjoy our meal. I can only imagine that the complete lack of acknowledgment can be due to the fact that we were the only South Asians/ POC in the restaurant. While the food was delicious and our waiter and hostess were great, there are too many dining options in NYC for us to even consider tolerating this level of discrimination again.

Loved our waiter and the atmosphere was great. Our waiter knew so much about the wines and was super helpful. Limited vegetarian options but they ones they had were delicious!

The food and service at this restaurant are amazing, but the menu is limited and lacks meat options. While I enjoyed the dishes during my last visit, this time they were a bit bland and underwhelming. The quality of the food is always outstanding, but the menu choices sometimes don't live up to the high standards of the restaurant. It lacks a special or unique flavor. For instance, the tuna dish was delicious, but the rest of the meal was mediocre. I know they are capable of creating exceptional dishes, as I have experienced some really good ones in the past.

Lived up to the hype. Ate at the bar w/ my mom for lunch, and the guy we had was delightful.
