Bidrage med feedbackOur son lives in Brooklyn, he made reservations for us, we sat in a cozy front corner booth on a rain soaked evening, Janet our hostess was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu, our food was delicious and fresh. The atmosphere throughout the restaurant was great, a large group was in the centre of the restaurant having a great time. My wife and I loved the neighborhood atmosphere with great food and service.
A little neighborhood Italian restaurant. The pasta especially is pretty good, and they have some nice apps. It's a small menu but they seem to do a good job with the dishes they make. That being said, I'm not sure about the value for money proposition here. The other day we were over there and I ordered the steak, which is $30 and comes with some roasted peppers, a mashed potato, and shallots. What came out was five thin slices of not especially premium steak maybe 3 4 oz, about half a potato's worth of mashed potatoes, and three or four roasted peppers and half a shallot. The steak and the sauce were . . . mild? in flavor. The potatoes were smooth but not particularly rich. The peppers were fine. It just wasn't really $30 worth of food? I mean, look I understand that sometimes you have to pay for quality around here, but there are other, similar places in the neighborhood where you can get more food for about the same amount of money. I mean compare and contrast this dish with the steak au poivre at Endswell and tell me that this steak is a good deal. I do not think you will be able to make the case.I'll probably give Rucola another chance but it's not a great direction considering in the past I've felt that I enjoyed the restaurant a little more than I did this last time.
Intimate little restaurant, outdoor seating too. The food was quite good, but the portions are fairly small considering the prices. Overall good experience.
Chill spot on Sunday around 2pm for a cocktail to catch up with a friend our catch up on some alone time.Cocktails Experiences (to date): The New Rider Gin (Dorothy Parker) Tonic
We enjoyed a quiet, late lunch here today. The restaurant has a cozy, friendly feel and the treelined, residential neighborhood street corner location provides a nice relaxed atmosphere. The lunch menu has lot going for it with many well proceed options on the lighter side but also house made pasta dishes for the hungry.
