Monte's - Brooklyn

Service was not good. Waitress did not check on us for quite some time after we got our food. If it was busy I would understand but we were literally the only people sitting in the back. we had 5 people at our table and they didn’t bring out everyone’s food at the same time so the food they did bring out got cold before they eventually brought out the rest. The sangria was watery. And after we were done eating they then said the restaurant does not accept visa or MasterCard they only accept American Express or cash... overall, would not return.

The service was great and the food outstanding. Everyone in our party agreed. Monte's is a great place for brunch or dinner.

First time visit for my friend and me. We enjoyed a nice brunch in the patio. I had forgotten my friend doesn't eat meat or eggs so the choices were limited. She enjoyed the fish tacos. We would go back.

Seems like a decent place, but it was way, way overpriced for the quality of the food. I thought I was going out for a nice date night, and it felt like fast casual dining for luxury prices. Totally possible they were having an off night. The wait staff was kind and engaging and I tipped well, don't worry, but I would not go back.

We came from Manhattan visiting Brooklyn, first time at Monte's, and we loved the whole package here. Food was outstanding, wine list was very cool, our waiter was professional, warm, even charasmatic as the rest of the staff was. Seems like a neighborhood gem.
