German's Soup - Brooklyn

My wife who is Guyanese was always telling me about the German Soup restaurant in Georgetown. She was so excited when it opened in Brooklyn and convinced me to try it. The best tasting restaurant Guyanese food around. Top five in Guyanese good I?ve had. The restaurant is clean, people are nice. The atmosphere is great no loud or raunchy music. Unlike most West Indian restaurants the wait isn?t too long and they deliver on seamless

My first Guyana-style restaurant visit and very impressed. Tried the restauran?t cook-up rice and a small vegetable soup. The subtle taste of coconut in the rice was my favorite part of the meal. I need to try this Guyanese recipe at home soon. Try it out!

Mightve gotten unlucky but the rice wasnt well cooked. Also got the curry chicken but there was more spice and pepper than curry. They must be lightly sprinkling in the curry like its season. If you dont care too much about actual curry flavor and the rice is not wet and actually cooked properly on other days then its a good food spot. The curry and rice was a bit expensive too tbh.

Chicken soup is great; very hearty and delicious. Perfect for when you are feeling under the weather. Good amounts of chicken, casssava (yuca), dumpling, green fig/banana and corn. Will definitely order again.

Germans has never failed me yet!! That Mixed Soup was the perfect choice for a freezing Monday in New York!!! Big pieces of Chicken, Yam, Cow Foot, Beef and Provisions satisfied me! The Fried Channa will be for tonights dinner.
