Asian Time - Brooklyn

I ordered the aubergine dish and was pleasantly surprised by how fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned it was.

The food was delicious and the kitchen was very clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating; when I needed to change my order to something less spicy, they were very cool about it.

I typically don't bother writing restaurant reviews, but my recent experience was disappointing. The mapo tofu I ordered was nothing like authentic mapo tofu - it lacked heat, spiciness, and didn't even have any sichuan peppercorns. Additionally, the tofu was prepared incorrectly (it was sliced like firm tofu). They may have other dishes that are good, but I cannot recommend ordering mapo tofu from this establishment.

Eating here was so surprisingly great, I dare to say best Chinese American food in nyc. 10/10 general tso tofu was the best. everything was great!

I scheduled a 7pm delivery on their website. Food showed up at 4:30pm. Told the delivery guy to redeliver a new order at 7pm. Still no food at 7:30pm so I call and get told “your order will be ready in 30 min, sorry we are very busy”. 30 minutes comes and goes, end up calling to cancel the order at 8:15pm. Wanted to support a local business but will not be trying this place again.
