The croque Monsieur with Chimay cheese was excellent. It is worth trying all the cheeses and beer. The restaurant offers a nice view of the surrounding fields.

Le cadre, la nourriture, le service... they are top notch

On our way to France, we made a pit stop at Chimay and found it to be quite predictable. The atmosphere was very commercial and lacked character. They only offered four types of beer, which were nothing special and could be found elsewhere in Brussels. The food was decent, typical Belgian cuisine that was hearty and filling. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to explore the museum. The service was average for Belgium - polite but they mistakenly charged us for items we didn't order. Overall, Chimay is a convenient stop if you're passing through the area, but probably not worth a special trip unless you're a big fan of Chimay products.
