Jack Niemann's Black Forest Steak House

We went for my birthday, I ordered salmon it was so dry could not eat it. Mashed potatoes too salty. The veggies were nicely cooked. Hubby had Filet Oskar 2 pieces of asparagus, deep sea crab, and sauce. The meal was overpriced. Steak was prepared fine. Had 1 drink each. Not pleased with the drink did not taste like what I had ordered. We were charged 2.50 for a SMALL bread basket and was told they used to give them away. It appeared to be 1 piece of bread cut up into small pieces. It was an important birthday for me, very dissatisfied with the meal. This is the only time we have been there as we were visiting from out of town. They did send a replacement salmon meal with us when we left. But I was disappointed that I was not able to sit and enjoy a nice birthday meal with hubby. Server said he was told the salmon was dryer than usual. Bill was 130.00, and with the problems, no excuse or sorry and still charged for bread. Definitely not on our list to return to.

Perfect celebratory atmosphere. With how delicious everything was I am surprised they weren’t packed. Great prompt service. Food was perfect. Definitely order the Oskar. Food was good, but prices are extremely high for Blaine and Whatcom county. Portion size is medium for price. Waiter was good, prompt and courteous. Chicken parmesan was over $21.00 for medium size chicken and child size portion of pasta.

My girlfriend and I came here after having a terrible experience at Packers in Semiahmoo. We were so happy we did! The service was outstanding and the food was even better! We ended up meeting the owner and she was absolutely lovely. Thanks so much for an awesome time! We will definitely be back! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
